Traffic Monitoring A24
Video management and control system
On a section of the A24 motorway between Berlin and Hamburg, video cameras monitor the flow of traffic in close cooperation with the traffic management system.
In the event of heavy traffic, the hard shoulder can be temporarily released as an additional lane.
Before each release, a visual inspection is carried out by the video cameras to ensure that the route is completely free of obstacles or vehicles.
The service and maintenance work of the video management system is supervised by WG Global.
