Hard Tags for Effective Theft Protection
Hard tags – referred to as “tags” in English – are the ideal solution for effectively protecting goods from theft. WG GLOBAL offers a wide selection of hard tags to optimally meet diverse requirements. With the Super Lock™ closure, we have developed a user-friendly, material-friendly solution that elevates the protection of your goods to a new level. Pencil Tag Family
The WG Pencil merchandise security tags are the standard for many fashion retailers. They are small, lightweight, and available in three sizes – Micro Pencil, Mid Pencil, and Super Pencil – all featuring the Super Lock™ closure mechanism. These tags are compatible with all Super Lock detachers and are particularly fast and user-friendly at the checkout. They feature a slim design and are available in black, white, and gray. Pencil Tags come in three performance classes, depending on the desired detection range between antennas. Despite their small size, Pencil Tags are extremely powerful. For example, the Super Pencil Tag can secure detection ranges of up to 3.5 m between two antennas of a Premier Pro Guard system – even though they are significantly smaller than other tags. Available for AM and RF systems, WAVE Band-It Tags offer an ideal combination of flexibility and security. These innovative tags can be seamlessly integrated with conventional security labels and adhesive security tags for mass merchandise.
Tag Lanyard
The Lanyard Tag consists of a rubber-coated steel loop for securely fastening devices, bags, tools, sports equipment, backpacks, and many other products. The various lengths allow for individual adaptation for smaller and larger items.
Shell Tag / Mini Shell Tag
The Shell Tag and Mini Shell Tag are acoustomagnetic hard tags with tamper-resistant technology and a Super Lock™ security clasp. These hard tags are extremely secure and at the same time gentle on materials, thanks to the full-surface pressure/weight distribution and the special needle (smoothly polished).
Bottle Tag
High-quality wines and spirits have long been popular targets for theft. The WG Bottle Tag reliably secures these goods. It is so discreet that the secured item still fits into its box. Since the bottle neck is completely enclosed, the item cannot be opened without authorization in the store. A positive side effect is its high deterrent effect and pleasant handling. Our bottle tags are available in two sizes: standard for wines and spirits, and large for champagne and sparkling wines.
Super Tag™
The original Sensormatic Super Tag™ is an acoustomagnetic hard tag equipped with a mechanical closure. It can only be detached with special detachers such as the MK 225 or MK 395. Thus, Super Tags™ offer maximum protection and security for a variety of products.
Ink Tag
The Ink Tag features two colored ink ampoules within a clear, preventative housing. These tags have no electronic function; instead, they break if tampered with, deterring thieves. They can be attached to any hard tag instead of a pin, or secured with a clutch. Ink Tags are available for virtually any system technology, such as Acoustomagnetic (AM), Radio Frequency (RF), or Dual Frequency (Transponder).
Opti Tag – Eyewear Tag
With the Opti Tag, the optimal eyewear tag for opticians, specialty eyewear stores, and fashion and sports retailers is finally available on the market. It can be attached to the product easily, quickly, and securely – without any tools. Furthermore, this small, hard tag is reusable. Our customers appreciate not only the high level of security but also the fact that the rotatable price tag significantly speeds up inventory counts.
Hard Goods Security
For securing hardware, bags, devices, and other accessories, we offer various solutions: One example is a rubber-coated steel loop (one end with an eyelet, the other with a pin). This loop fits any conventional WG hard tag and is significantly faster and easier to handle than traditional hard goods lanyards that need to be fastened with a button. Or our “Tag-Lanyard,” a hard tag with an integrated hard goods loop.
Bottle Tags for Spirits
Our bottle tags for spirits offer an ideal solution for high-value products that are particularly susceptible to theft. The highly transparent acrylic cap not only protects the bottle from theft but also prevents it from being opened. The tags adapt to almost all bottle sizes and types. AI-Tag
The AI-Tag is an acoustomagnetic security tag with a special double-pin head, used for securing eyewear, as well as bags, tennis and squash rackets, belts, and shoes. The pin spacing is 12 mm, and both the tag and the pin are included in the delivery. To produce this smallest possible tag, a very small ferrite is used. This achieves excellent detection performance, although the maximum detection range must be observed.
Adhesive Labels – Flexible and Discreet Security Solutions for your Products
Adhesive labels are single-use security tags available in various shapes and designs, significantly expanding the application possibilities of merchandise security systems. At WG Global, we offer a wide selection of adhesive labels: from insert labels for blister-packed goods, to hang tags as image labels, to meat trays as labels or disposable hard tags – the application possibilities are diverse and offer solutions for both in-store security and source tagging. Adhesive labels can be applied directly to the packaging or, for better protection, inside the packaging. When the goods are sold, deactivation is performed by the WG Deactivator, so no additional actions are required, and the labels can remain on the goods. For a reduced CO2 footprint, our adhesive labels are made from recycled plastic material. Thanks to the various variants – whether in barcode, black, or white – the adhesive labels can be applied particularly discreetly without affecting the product’s design. Effective Solution against Return Fraud
The Seal Tag was specifically developed for goods where tamper-proof security and traceability are paramount. This tag is frequently used, especially for textiles, tools, or exclusive goods. Once attached, the Seal Tag can only be removed by destruction, making it ideal for products where integrity is crucial. In combination with a label or barcode, it also offers the possibility of item identification.
“Wardrobing” is an increasingly common phenomenon where worn merchandise is returned after brief use. This return fraud incurs high personnel and organizational costs for retailers, both in-store and online. The Seal Tag solves this problem by being attached to the garment with a clearly visible warning card. Attachment is done in the same way as with conventional merchandise security tags. However, once the customer has made their purchase decision, they can break the tag themselves and remove the seal. Seal Tag naturally appears particularly stylish when branded with your own logo. Incidentally, Seal-Tag was developed in collaboration with Bloomingdale’s in New York. There, it is already solving return problems and preventing the misuse of merchandise taken for viewing. For initial tests, our Seal Tag test packs are available and can be ordered with a 4-language warning card. For larger quantities, there is also the option to have the cards produced with your own layout and logo.
